Item Description

Tsumeb is one of the premier mineral localities in the world, producing exemplary specimens of a wide number of minerals ranging from common to extraordinarily rare. This fine small cabinet / large miniature sized specimen features a coverage of beautiful, sharp pink rhombs measuring up to 6 mm. The pink color is caused by cobalt content, and it is beautifully enhanced by the vitreous to pearly luster and fine gemminess, to the point where the crystals virtually glow. This color and habit of crystals is so distinctive for Smithsonite from this locality. Quite aesthetic, this is highly representative of the quality that came out of Tsumeb in the mid-20th century.
