Item Description

Good smithsonite specimens are rare from this extinct small underground mine near Tombstone. This is a really cute undulating lightweight two-sided crust of tiny pretty powder-blue rice-grain smithsonite crystals. One side is dramatically peppered with glassy oxide-tinted calcite rhombs adding pizzazz and color contrast. Excellent and rare combination material from the Bruce Murphy Arizona Collection. See the March-April 1983 Mineralogical Record article on the Silver Bill Mine in Vol. 14, No. 2.
