Item Description

Pretty, top color, Kelly-blue, smithsonite botryoidals cover the silicified limestone matrix on this showy specimen from the famed Kelly Mine. The botryoids have excellent luster and translucency and there is a layer of powder-blue aurichalcite beneath the smithsonite and on one end. Very interesting. The periphery wear is noted, but is a very modest detraction. The base has been sawed to enhance the display quality. Classic and desirable combination material from this noted locale.
