Here we have a good representative Smoky Quartz specimen from this famous locality at Hallelujah Junction in Nevada. I obtained this specimen directly from the man who collected it. It has good form, sharpness and gemminess for any locality, especially one in the U.S. The piece is almost reminiscent of "alligator Quartz" I have seen from Braizl, with a distinct dual-tone color variation that almost gives it a Citrine shade on the center portion of the piece. A worthwhile specimen of this well known material.
