An outstanding and pristine large 360-degree floater cluster of intergrown smoky quartz crystals from the well-known deposits of Herkimer County. The imposing piece is dramatically dominated by the large 8.2 cm doubly terminated crystal at the crest. The highly lustrous, very glassy crystals are transparent to translucent and have variable smoky color. Clay inclusions, fenster (window) faces and internal "rainbow" optical effects dramatically enhance this remarkable piece. Every turn presents a strikingly different perspective of the complexly crystallized cluster. A remarkable Herkimer smoky quartz.
