Item Description

This is a nice display specimen from one of the most storied and well known districts in Colorado. The pegmatites near the Lake George area of Colorado have produced what most collectors and dealers consider to be the finest Amazonite specimens from the standpoint of superb color, top quality, wonderful display specimens and excellent associations. This particular specimen, has no Amazonite as the crystals are a beige color, but it is a good overall piece featuring sharp, well-formed, blocky Microcline crystals which play host to sharp gemmy Smoky Quartz crystals on BOTH sides of the specimen. The largest Microcline crystal measures up to 2.7 cm. Classic material from the Pike's Peak Batholith in Colorado.
