Smoky Quartz (scepter) (ex Rolando Gioia Collection)

Item Description

A nice, attractive, sharp, well-formed, gemmy, lightly smoky colored Quartz crystal which has formed a scepter on a nearly colorless Quartz "stem". The piece is very aesthetic, and it's complete all the way around, with only a tiny bit of roughness. The "cap" of the specimen shows terminations on both the top and bottom to create a wondeful overall appearance. It's not easy to get such well-formed, undamaged, attractive scepters like this from any Brazilian locality, and this one is certainly worth picking up if you collect Quartz crystals, interesting morphology or Brazilian specimens.
