Scintillating golden rutile needles to over 8 cm fill a water-clear, richly colored, smoky quartz crystal from Diamantina, Brazil. The needles go in all directions in this stunning, sharp, CABINET, specimen. Yes, there is a bit of termination edgewear and part of the back and the base are chipped, but this is a totally superior example of the species. Ex Peter Bancroft Collection, author of Gem and Crystal Treaures. Classic, older and very uncommon material.
