Spessartine Garnet on Smoky Quartz

A cute and aesthetic spessartine garnet and smoky quartz combo from recent finds at Tongbei, China. Two generations of spessartines richly and preferentially coat both sides of the nifty, eneven, trident-like, lightly frosted, smoky quartz crystal cluster. The large garnet is 1.0 cm and has glowing reddish-orange color. Complete all-around and very nearly pristine, a super-trivial bit of termination wear to the large and middle smokies is barely noticeable and is certainly not a detraction. Showy and excellent material from this noted locale.
