Gemmy and lustrous, burnt orange spessartine garnets to 5 mm richly cover the mounded CABINET feldspar matrix on this showy and excellent specimen from recent finds at Tongbei, China. The 5.0 cm, lustrous, translucent, partially garnet-coated, smoky quartz crystal is a super accent. One spot of minor bruising is noted, but is a modest detraction to the overall context of this striking specimen. Highly representative combination material from this noted locale.
