Sparklling, gemmy and lustrous, orange spessartine garnets cover the ungulating surface of the feldspar matrix on this showy and excellent CABINET specimen from recent finds at Tongbei, China. This fine piece is very nicely accented with a couple of smoky quartz crystals, including a prominent, 1.2 cm "spire" and features a MUCH LARGER than normal spesartine at 1.7 cm!
