Item Description
When these specimens first started emerging from Pakistan, they were (and still are) regarded as some of the finest crystallized Spessartine specimens in the world. They are for my money, some of the finest red Spessartines available today. This small cabinet consists of a rather large, sharp, fairly lustrous, deep red color dodecahedral crystal group which is sitting on white crystals of Albite. Fairly good shape overall, despite some roughness on the upper portion of Spessartine. These specimens are becoming less and less available on the market, certainly in the last 5 years. Considering how widespread and diverse the various species of Garnet are, it is surprisingly difficult to find good crystallized display specimens such as this one. Garnets as a whole are not very common to find in fine quality crystals.
