A RARE old-time matrix Little Three Mine combination that dates back over 100 years! The Little Three Mine in California has a special place in the heart of many collectors. The strikingly sculptural 3-dimensional, two-sided, bladed cleavelandite matrix is highlighted by very highly desirable and classic gemmy orange spessartine garnets, to 1.2 cm. A gemmy, glassy, 2.0 cm, smoky quartz crystal section crowns the low knob and two schorl sections are dramatically embedded on one side of the large knob. This side has a very artistic and colorful look with the setting of the dark minerals and a couple of scattered spessrtines. From an East Coast collection and comes with a faded century-old label. This RARE, old-time and sculptural combination displays beautifully without aid and looks good from either side.
