Item Description

A very showy and uncommon, 360-degree, vertical combination specimen from the famous mines at Trepca. The focal point is the three, sharp, intergrown, calcite rhombs, that really strike out from the matrix. Splendent, twinned, sphalerite crystals to 1.2 cm stand out from the earlier generation of scintillating, smaller, sphalerites. Lustrous, tan siderite crystals in spherical aggregates or as more isolated crystals with a few accenting quartz points cover another side. Complete-all-around, nearly pristine, with only trivial edge wear to the top sphalerite crystal. Every turn presents a different view to this choice and rare combination specimen from the Ed Bancroft Collection.
