Item Description

Lustrous, dark brown-black, compound rubyjack sphalerite crystals to 3.8 cm are aesthetically scattered in clusters or as isolated crystals on the dramatic, sculptural, 360-degree chert knob covered with lustrous, translucent, tan, saddle-shaped dolomite rhombs. This is classic, old-time and excellent large combination material from the famous Tri-State District. Overall in excellent shape, with only trivial periphery wear. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and apparently collected in the 1960s, according to his label.
