Item Description

Well-crystallized quartz is an extremely rare and desirable species from the entire Tri-State District. This very fine, old-time CABINET specimen features a band of lustrous, partially rubyjack sphalerite crystals aesthetically strewn across a plate of sharp, glassy, quartz crystals. Outstanding, very uncommon combination material from the historic Joplin Field. A small, beautifully handwritten, old label is on the back of the piece. Ex Howard Belsky Collection. Howard started as a mineral dealer at age 13 in 1972, became a sophisticated dealer and died tragically at age 28 in 1987. His collection recently became available to us through his family.
