Sphalerite twins (excellent - classic locale)

Sphalerite specimens of this crystal sharpness and quality are very uncommon from any locale in Hungary. Large, lustrous, twinned, jet-black prisms have pretty subtle iridescence and are aesthetically clustered on this showy small cabinet. The prominent large crystal is 2.3 cm and the striated faces add character. Complete all-around and in good shape, for such a well-crystallized rarity. The large crystal has a contacted face and the noted periphery wear, mostly confined to one side, are certainly only modest detractions to this excellent piece from a historic locale. Undoubtedly old-time material, but no proof.
