Item Description
Although this mine is best known for its Rhodochrosite and green Fluorite specimens, it did produce some attractive sulfides as well. This piece features several sharp, lustrous, black crystals of Sphalerite which are associated with golden Pyrite crystals and micro white Quartz. The largest Sphalerite crystal measures 10 mm and the majority of them are complete and in good shape. A good representative specimen from this historic and world-famous locality in the San Juan mountains of southwestern Colorado.
