Item Description

A classic and fine quality display quality association specimen of this beautiful material from the Casapalca Mine in Peru featuring sharp, well-formed, lustrous, metallic black Spinel crystals measuring up to 3.0 cm, associated with big tetrahedral grey metallic crystals of Tetrahedrite measuring up to 3.5 cm on edge, associated with a "druse" of tiny Quartz crystals and no matrix. The label accompanying the piece states that there is Mn-bearing Calcite, but I can't find any on the piece. No major damage, and the piece sits beautifully on its own without the aid of a base or clay, and can be displayed from multiple angles. Valued $950.
