The Mogok area of Myanmar is famous for its superb gem Spinels. Some of the best red and pink Spinel gems ever found have been mined in this famous valley. This stone is an attractive, good size, virtually eye clean, bright pink color, "Round Step" cut gemstone. The color is rather saturated even for a smaller gem. PLEASE NOTE: The color in the video is dark/more saturated than the stone appears in the person, it's closer to the hue/saturation seen in the photo. Pink Spinels are among the most popular of all Spinel hues with collectors, because outside of Sapphire and Tourmaline there are not many other durable pink gems on the market. Today mining in Mogok is nearly dead due to various political issues, and nothing is coming out, so don't miss out on getting these Spinels while you can.
