Spinel is a gem that comes in a great range of colors. This stone is an attractive, decent size, VVS orange-red color, "Oval Step" cut gemstone. This gem has a very darker color, but red Spinels are some of the most popular color Spinels out there. It is difficult to find superb quality Spinels because of political upheaval in southeast Asia. It appears that these stones will soon be very very hard to come across and the days of the good Spinels may be dwindling.
