Spinel is another gem that comes in a great range of colors. Most people are familiar with the Ruby Spinels, but a large percentage of Spinels out there are not red. This is a beautiful Spinel. It is an attractive gem with a purplish color in incandescent light, but shows a lovely BLUE color in sunlight and halogen light, and a wonderful greenish-blue color under LED lights. This greenish color is more rare in Spinel than most other shades. The gem has near eye clean clarity, and has an "Oval Step" cut. This is a good quality Spinel with saturated color.
