Beautiful, rich reddish-pink color saturation characterizes this impressive large spinel octahedron from this less well-known Luc Yen locale. The very glassy crystal is highly lustrous and has striking areas of gemmy translucence. Complete all-around, this is a pristine floater. The unusual etching on one side adds much pizzazz. Cherry-red fluorescence! 117 grams mass. Ex Claude Begin Collection. Valued at $1250-1500 for size and quality.
