Item Description

A striking, sculptural crystallized native copper specimen! The large specimen consists entirely of dendritic, spinel-twinned native copper crystals with a nice patina to 2.8 cm in length. The well-defined crystals have a classic herringbone pattern. This locality (Gull Rock Fissure Vein) is actually an underwater vein collected by divers; and the piece was etched out of calcite. The base has been drilled to mount a swivel. Very nice! 1 kilo or 2.2 pounds. Ex Donald Schuder and Ben Vone Collections. Valued $750-1000
