An outstanding, very sculptural, tapered, floater sharply crystallized copper with a fine patina from a NEW FIND at this active open pit copper mine. All four sides of the artistic 360-degree piece have a striking backbone of spinel-twins, that are flanked by more hoppered spinel-twins with the flaired or skeletal edges. There is one rounded tetrahexahedral crystal on an edge and there are more crystals with the same form scattered about. This exceptional cutie resembles classic crystallized coppers from Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula, Arizona or Kazakhstan! Most specimens from the 2017 find had an arborescent shape, so these new pieces are dramatically different and exciting.
