Spinel (unique color)

Spinel is a gem that is found in a great range of colors. While red is probably the most commonly associated color with Spinel, you will find gems that span the rainbow. This gem is from a newer find in Tanzania and has an attractive, reddish-pink color with a slight velvety quality when it's viewed under strong lighting. It has a "Square Emerald" cut and nearly eye-clean clarity. A very distinctive and eye-catching hue which is certainly different than many of the Spinels on the market today. Very little of these gems seems to be out there now, so don't miss out on this one.
