Item Description

A really attractive and distinctive specimen of the beautiful "Star" Muscovite from the Jenipapo Mine in Brazil. This material has vivid golden-yellow color, with incredibly well-formed, star shaped crystals of Muscovite on matrix. These are some of the most distinctive Mica in the world from the standpoint of color and form. The largest crystal measures 2.7 cm across. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12236). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
