Stellerite

Item Description

The area around Rudny in Kazakhstan is famous for its superb yellow gem Calcite crystals, but it also produces some of the best Stellerites around, both in terms of quality and color. This small cabinet specimen hosts several fine quality, radiating aggregates measuring up to 2.0 cm across, sitting on tiny beige Stilbite blades on host rock matrix. The Stellerites have a rich golden-orange color, with good luster and defined "sheaf"-like crystal forms. The main groups of Stellerite are undamaged, though one group on the side is partially complete. It's a visually impressive specimen with good aesthetics, quality and color. If you collect zeolite species, this is something that is rarely seen on the market today, and would make a great addition to any collection.
