Item Description

The Braen Quarry was for many years seldom collected locality. The majority of Stellerite found around the world is opaque, and rarely gemmy, let alone gem quality. This particular piece features outstanding, lustrous, gem/gemmy, colorless, "jelly"-like, sphere-shaped radiating aggregates of Stellerite measuring up to 6 mm on basalt. They are one of the few examples of gem stellerite! This is a large and attractive specimen, rare on the market. Ex. Kosnar family Collection.
