Stellerite, Chabazite/Gmelinite & Calcite (Allen Dillwith Coll.)

Item Description

A 1.8 cm, gorgeous rich orange, glassy, translucent stellerite "ball" is aesthetically set in the 3-dimensional sparkly calcite matrix with tiny quartz crystals. Scattered salmon-pink pseudo-rhombohedral chabazite or gmelinite crystals, to 1.2 cm, are a typical and excellent association. This giant skarn iron deposit is famous for outstanding Zeolite Group specimens and this is a very fine combination example from the 1990s finds. Ex Allen Dillwith Collection.
