Item Description

A classic specimen of the seldom seen Perkiomenville Stellerites featuring well-formed, radiating aggregates of a gorgeous orange color. Typically, Stellerite doesn't have such a rich color color like this. The largest "ball" measures 1.2 cm across, and they're undamaged, save the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall. If you collect US minerals or worldwide zeolites, don't miss out on this attractive material. The piece was originally labeled as "Epidesmine", and archaic name for Stellerite. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#1280). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
