Stellerite (ex Brian Kosnar and Bob Batic Collections)

Item Description

A good quality Stellerite from the famous Summit Quarry in New Jersey. While this locality is best known for its superb Greenockite specimens, it also produced some worthwhile Zeolites and associated species. The piece features a predominant, 2.3 cm aggregate of lustrous tan colored Stellerite with additional Stellerite crystals plus smoky colored Calcite matrix. From the standpoint of quality and aesthetics, it's certainly one of the better Stellerites from this locality that I have offered in the auctions. From the well known NJ Zeolite collection of Rich Kosnar, originally from the collection of Bob Batic in New Jersey.
