Item Description
Superb, aesthetic and RARE large stellerite combination material from Nashik. Four beautiful spherical aggregates of pearly, translucent, creamy stellerite blades are dramatically set in the impressive large sculptural vug in basalt lined with starkly contrasting green celadonite, a fairly uncommon Mica Group mineral. The striking large ball is 4.5 cm across. Pearlescent parallel-growth heulandite crystal clusters on the lower front are a super accessory. Stellerite, a Zeolite Group species, is over 100 times rarer from Maharashtra, than more common Zeolites, Apophyllite and Stilbite. Stellerite and celadonite combinations in this large size and aesthetic quality are VERY RARE. The piece displays beautifully from either direction. Valued at $2500-3000.
