Item Description
An outstanding and sculptural large old-time stilbite on drusy quartz from Iceland, probably the famous Berufjord area. A beautiful upright 4.2 cm, pearlescent bone-white, sharply terminated parallel-growth stilbite prism dominates the chaledony-covered undulating basalt matrix. The 3.2 cm doubly terminated stilbite crystal along with smaller crystals and crystal sections are fine accessories on this classic combination. Iceland is one of the great old classic locales for Zeolites, and many were first found here in good crystals long before Indian Zeolites came to market. An exceptional and classic large Iceland stilbite from the Dr. Eric Asselborn Collection, a very well-known French collector. Valued at $1350.
