Item Description

It is very rare to find strontianite in sharp, hexagonal crystals, and this excellent and very rich miniatue plate from this classic old locale is exceptional for this reason alone even if they weren"t also so pretty to look at. The largest crystal is 1.4 cm. The crystals are colorless and have tan terminations. The lustrous and translucent prisms are richly and aesthetically strewn on the matrix plate. In great shape, except for two broken crystals on the periphery on one edge. Ex Howard Belsky Collection. The former dealer label with the piece has a $65 price tag, prior to Howard"s untimely death in 1987.
