Item Description

A gorgeous and fine quality cabinet display specimen from what is the premier Strontianite locality in the world. This hefty and robust piece features a coverage of gorgeous soft orange-pink orthorhombic Strontianite crystals sitting atop a layer of Magnesite on matrix. The piece is very aesthetic and showy with virtually no damage to the Strontianite crystals, save the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. They are also rather lustrous, and somewhat gemmy, and they don't have that irritating brown coating that so many from this locality can have (which is nearly impossible to remove without destroying the underlying Strontianite). Valued highly for the quality, overall displayability and size. Priced at $5,000 retail in our inventory. From the renowned collection of Franz Lammer of Göss part of Leoben in Styria, Austria.
