Item Description

Rich, old-time specimen from the venerable Hagendorf locality in Germany, this is a huge example from this important phosphate locale. There are numerous sprays and rich pockets of light and/or reddish, needle-like Strunzite (TYPE LOCALITY), along with minor amounts of Pseudolaueite (also TYPE LOCALITY), and Stewartite. Previously in the historic old collection of Dr. Wilhelm Schmidt, who obtained this cabinet piece from Dr. F. Krantz. Labels shown. Valued $2000-plus.
