Item Description
Sugilite is a RARE lithium silicate. Lavender to purple sugilite microcrystals richly and attractively cover two sides of the hefty, banded hematite matrix on this showy and excellent specimen from the famous Wessels Mine of South Africa. The crystals are small, but so bright and so colorful! This is very desirable and hard to obtain today. Valued at $750-900, for size and richness. Ex Rob Smith Collection.
