Item Description

This is a large, well-formed sulfur crystal exhibits extreme hopper growth where the crystal edges grew much faster than the faces, thus giving the crystal a hollowed out appearance. The crystal has super luster and translucence along with a bright lemon yellow color. Aesthetic, large and particularly fine from this deposit. In fact, although this deposit produces literally tonnage of sulfur for the specimen market today, only a handful of crystals of this caliber have come out, and survived to market. It is metallic in luster, and gorgeous in a case, a trophy for the species at a relatively lower price compared to what the old classic Italian sulfurs cost today. And again, for this copntemporary locale, this is a huge crystal of some significance itself. valued $950
