Item Description

From the famous Agrigento Province of Italy, this choice, highly-attractive 3 cm Sulphur crystal is attached to the end of an undulating, microcrystalline Calcite matrix. The Sulphur has excellent luster and form, with the brilliant yellow color that makes these so visually stunning. The Calcite has a gentle fluorescene, and the small amount of wear on the contacted edges of the Sulphur have little bearing on the excellent, overall aesthetics, as the Sulphur is oriented just right on the matrix. A perfectly balanced small cabinet specimen, probalby from the 1950s-1970s. Va;lued over $1000 for the quality and sharpness of the lemon yellow crystal atop
