Item Description

One of the more eye-catching and interesting gems I have seen from the United States is Sunstone from Oregon. This material comes in a myriad of colors ranging from yellow, orange, red, green and even blue in rare cases. Aside from the the extremely rare blue variety, the most hard to find color of this material in good size stones is red. This stone has a "champagne" hue which is common for the material. This stone is a great quality, "Scissor Emerald" cut gem. Typically, many of the stones from this area have what is called a "shiller" which is a shimmer in the stone caused by native Copper inclusions, but this one is suprisingly clean with only very very slight inclusions. Don't miss out on this attractive U.S. gemstone.
