Item Description

A dramatic, large specimen of stacked, twinned, fishtail gypsum crystals. This impressive piece is doubly terminated floater with the fish head or arrowhead termination at the other end. The lustrous, translucent crystals have a frosted look. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, except for a tiny ding on the fish head, which is amazing for such a soft mineral. We often say these are common - or were, rather - but not like this quality. An outstanding cave gypsum from this less well-known Mexican locale. Ex Dave Soudt Collection.
