Item Description

While Sylvanite is not rare from Cripple Creek, specimens from the little known Portland Mine are virtually impossible to find! This is only the second piece of Sylvanite that we've seen from this mine, and certainly the finest. Rich "vein"-like strings of brilliant, silvery-white crystallized Sylvanite sitting on host rock matrix. It's a rich specimen and the crystals look fantastic under mangification. The piece comes with a label from Wendel Minerals stating it is from the Wendland Collection.
