Item Description
A really cute and rare tanzanite crystal with pyrite thumbnail from the Merelani Hills. Two faces of the gem crystal with steep chisel termination are richly draped with sparkly, brass-yellow, pyrite microcrystals. The A and B axes are beautiful cornflower-blue and blue-violet, respectively, indicative of natural unheated state of color. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only one spot of modest edge wear. 9.42 carats.
