Item Description

A nice thumbail size specimen of the highly sought after zinc phosphate Tarbuttite which is loaded with sharp, transparent to translucent, colorless triclinic tabular crystals on gossan matrix. The largest crystal measures 3 mm. The Broken Hill mine (also called the Kabwe mine) is the type locality for Tarbuttite, and has certainly produced some of the finest specimens of the species extant. Fine quality Tarbuttites are not common to find for sale these days, and this superb quality specimen is certainly a top notch thumbnail of this classic material.
