Item Description

A very aesthetic miniature pseudomorph nicely accented with wafers of glassy barite from the well-known mines at Julcani. Sharp, lustrous, slightly iridescent, textbook, tetrahedrite crystals have pseudomorphed a sharp blocky upright enargite crystal. Complete all-around and pristine. Choice, aesthetic and rare combination material, probably from the 1970s, and the Kay Robertson Collection # 11499. It was acquired from Carousel Minerals at the 1988 Tucson Show. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
