Item Description

A few years ago there were some finds of the relatively rare Zeolite species Thomsonite in India. Most people are probably familiar with the rather smooth spheres that are found on basalt, but this is material from a new disovery, on more attractive matrix. They don't look like Thomsonite that I've seen from any other locality. This is a great display specimen from the same locality featuring good quality, cream colored spheres of Thomsonite measuring up to 1.8 cm sitting on bladed off-white Stilbite crystals with minor green Celadonite underneath. A beautiful display piece of one of the rarer Zeolite species out there. Valued at $500 for size, quality and scarcity on the market. The piece also shows an unusual fluorescence under UV light.
