Item Description
An excellent specimen of a rare species from Searles Lake, California, the Type Locality and the Al Ordway Collection #2525. A sharp, blocky, doubly terminated, borax crystal is pseudomorphed by snow-white tincalconite. The textbook floater crystal is nearly pristine, with only one cleaved corner. Tincalconite is a rare borate and these specimens are very rare from Type Locality. Seldom on the worldwide market today, and this is from one of the majpor california collections assembled when they came out
