Item Description

Titanite is a well-known mineral species, but faceted stones are often labeled as "Sphene". It should be noted that "Sphene" is an archaic term although both are generally accepted in the gem and mineral world. One of the great aspects of faceted Titanite is the incredibly high dispersion of the material. According to gemdat.org, "Its very high dispersion 0.051 (higher than Diamond 0.044) helps to give cut stones an intense fire". This gem is a beautiful golden-orange color "Round Brilliant" cut gem which shows beautiful multi-color flash in sunlight. This is one of the few Pakistani Titanites that we've had to offer in the auctions. The stone would make a great addition to any collection for its size, color and quality.
