Item Description

One of the most unusual titanite specimens we can recall, this multicolored specimen shows Titanite crystals from 0.5 to 4.2 cm shooting out all over the piece, from a core. It has zones of greenish-gray colored by chlorite, and the yellowish zones are thought to be inclusions of astrophyllite or clay minerals, more reminiscent of what we have seen in some quartz from both this region, and also from Brazil. It is a highly unusual specimen that, to be honest, is hard to identify at first glance. We can tell from his numbering that Kurt purchased this in the 1980s, in the early days of Pakistan mineral exports. HIGHLY WEIRD!
